Forbis participated in the conference “FinTech Re-Evolution | PSD2 & Blockchain”
On January the 26th there was held a conference organized by technology companies‘ association Tech City Lithuania with open innovation programme Rise Vilnius.
During the whole day of FinTech Re-Evolution conference featured topics and discussions from the Bank of Lithuania, Lithuanian commercial banks, and IT companies. The main focus was on the basic PSD2 regulation and legal challenges, as well as blockchain technologies in the financial sector.
Commercial director Anton Zujev made a presentation regarding “Opportunities and challenges of PSD2 for the banks” and joined other speakers in a panel discussion. Here is a synopsis of the presentation:
2018 is set to bring significant changes in the way people understand banking. However, how will the banking industry react to PSD2? Increased accessibility of banks to fintechs could create interesting business synergies and promote new innovative services for consumers. On the other hand, the banks could consider new unregulated market players as a threat and a challenge. So, is PSD2 bringing revolution to banking? Or is it a case of smoke without fire?
